Most of this album was recorded in 1984 when 'New Age' music was in its beginnings. At the time I didn't know that it was called new age music with only being aware of only a few artists who sounded like it. Brian Eno was the first to come to mind. I did find bits and pieces of this sound in progressive rock music: Yes' Close to the Edge and Genesis' Supper's Ready. Vangelis and Tomita were also known for their unique sound as was Tangerine Dream. I can't forget Steven Halpern and Indian Ragas were very much involved. I'm sure I'm missing quite a few artists.
Much of this album was recorded using a Korg Poly-6 and a Teac 3440a 4-track reel-to-reel. You can hear moments of EMU emulator as well as an Oberhiem OBX.
